A Pilot’s Badge, By Friedrich Linden consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac inscribed "Black Devils" above and(Flugzeugfhrerabzeichen). Constructed of silvered tombak and nickel silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a block hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of a type 2A
