In zinc with red enamels, Turkish made, ball finials on the tips of the star points, measuring 56. 8 mm (w) x 54. 5 mm (h), horizontal pinback, intact enamels, scattered white oxidation evident on both sides, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Gallipolli Star was a military decoration awarded by the Ottoman Empire. It is also known as the Ottoman War Medal. It was instituted by Sultan Mehmed V on March 1, 1915 for
