Yangchuanosaurus shangyouensis Ceratosaurus Francia y AlemaniaYangchuanosaurus shangyouensis was a large carnivorous theropod that lived during the Late Jurassic period, approximately 163 to 157 million years ago, in what is now China. One of the top predators in its ecosystem, this dinosaur belonged to the family of metriacanthosaurids, a group of carnivores closely related to allosaurids. With an estimated length of between 8 and 10 meters and a weight of up to 3 tons, Yangchuanosaurus was a formidable hunter.
