Beirut - A study of losses (CD) Week 24 2026 C1 The Death & ResurrectionIt should be more surprising: Beirut has recorded an album at the request of a Swedish circus, Kompani Giraff, for their latest show, loosely inspired by a German book about things that are "lost" (the Tuanaki Islands, the Caspian tiger). It has given the indie folk group enough material for one of their most inspiring albums in years. The ever present melancholy and impossible longing stand out. A Study of Losses is particularly well placed.
