Germany, Heer. A Tropical Em/Nco’s Overseas Cap, C. 1943 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac affixed onto a cream-coloured underside(Heer Schiffchen). An extremely well preserved Heer Tropical EM NCOs overseas cap, constructed of olive drab cotton twill. The cap is fully surrounded by fold down scalloped side panels, and is flanked on each side by a ventilation hole reinforced with a brown painted zink eyelet. Stitched onto the peak of the cap is an insignia in the form of a light brown cotton backer bearing a machine embroidered silver grey Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed
