A 253rd Infantry Battalion "Queen's University Highlanders" Cap Badge Newly Listed double maker’s mark of FishIn pickled brass, voided, maker marked "KINNEAR & DESTERRE" on the reverse, measuring 47. 3 mm (w) x 66 mm (h), both lugs and pin intact, residue evident in the recessed areas, small indentation with oxidation spot over the text "HIGH", near extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Eastern Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Kingston under the authority of G. O. 48, May 1, 1917. The Battalion sailed April 29, 1917 under the command
