The table top is finely hand painted to the top with a gilded landscape scene, depicting a river with boats and various pagoda buildings, set below a mountainous landscape. The table is decorated on all sides, with three drawers to the front with corresponding landscape scenes, the back of the desk having three panels decorated with similar hand painted gilt
