Regency Period Thorvaldsen's Day & Night Cameo Earrings Cluster Rings Pink & Blue ZirconDATE: Georgian Regency, c. 1815 Remarkable shell cameo earrings dating from the English Regency Period, circa 1815. The subjects are Bertel Thorvaldsen's Day and Night after his famous marble reliefs, and they're set in wonderfully intricate cannetille and oak leaf earring mounts. The pair, as opposites, represent the two halves of a day, together making a whole. Night hangs in the sky, eyes closed, with children in her embrace and poppies (long known
