The West Coast at the time was dotted with farms, ranches, railroads and gold mines. Jacob Davis, a tailor from Reno, Nevada, thought of inserting rivets on work trousers in the most stressed points, collaborating with his denim supplier Levi Strauss in San Francisco. This is how blue jeans with rivets were born.
