Hurok presents: Irina Arkhipova The Great Mezzo Soprano of the Bolshoi Theatre" American impresario Sol Hurok managed Russian mezzo soprano opera singer Irina Arkhipova during a long awaited U. S. tour with Russia's Bolshoi Ballet in 1959. He managed to bring the Bolshoi Theatre back in 1962 again, despite it being during the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis. This commemorative poster features
