We built a better one: a lightweight, closed loop synthetic J that grabs where metal struggles and stays calm if something lets go under load. The J Hook Soft Shackle is braided and spliced in house, then jacketed in a heavy duty two part polymer. One leg of the rigid chafe sleeve is intentionally longer, so it places cleanly on undercarriages, axle housings and rims where a standard
