Late 19th Century Door Bell nugrape Fully restoredEmbossed brass announcement bell. This piece is a precursor to what we now know as doorbells, which themselves are beginning to be phased out in favor of Ring and Nest Cams. But I digress; both pieces included here would have been wall mounted next to each other at a front door. The smaller piece with the lever would have been pulled up and let go so the porcelain knob would strike the bell and announce a visitor. Exhibits minor signs of wear
