A Waffen-SS Panzer Enlisted Ranks Cap Insignia consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac he commanded the 17th Infantry(Waffen SS Insignien fr Mannschaften der Panzertruppe). Constructed of black rayon, the obverse overlaid by a black machine embroidered trapezoid, in turn bearing a Totenkopf topped by an SS style German national eagle clutching a wretched mobile swastika, both executed in silver grey machine embroidery, the edge marked BEVO WUPPERTAL, measuring 80 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), demonstrating material fatigue throughout, in unissued and very fine condition.
