The fabric is a medium weight cotton with a soft texture. The coverlet is hand crafted with several gorgeous floral fabrics on one side with stunning different red indiennes and on the other side, beautiful brown, green and blue checked fabrics. There are lovely patches here and there of more recent seventies bright fabrics hand sewn 50 years
