The idea for Flower Bottles came to her by chance. While working on a prototype in thick paper, the bottom came away and the prototype opened like a blooming flower This unfinished shape and the similarity in colour to cardboard were reproduced in a ceramic vase, with a matt finish on the outside and a glaze on the inside.
