Mrs. Frances Willard was born in Churchville, near Rochester in New York, and spent most of her childhood in the city of Janesville, Wisconsin. At the age of 18, she moved to Evanston, Illinois. Frances Elizabeth Caroline Willard was an influential women's suffragist and American Educator. In 1879, Willard was the president of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union
