Spain, Kingdom. An Order Of Civil Merit, Reduced Grand Cross Star, C.1930 United Republic of contact marks and fading present(Orden del Mrito Civil). Instituted June 25 1926 by King Alfonso XII. (1926 1931 Issue). A lovely breast star (Lady's Grand Cross version) in silver gilt, featuring an eight point star, with overlaid blue enamel Anchor cross, a green laurel wreath between three of the arms and a red enamel royal crown at 12 oclock, the obverse medallion features a female figure with a small red enamel flame, surrounded by a blue enamel ring inscribed AL MERITO CIVIL
