This material is a brass alloy which prevents corrosion, caused by the loss of zinc in the fitting, making it suitable for exposure to sea water. This nipple fitting connects two female threaded pipes of different sizes (1 1 2" BSPT to 1 1 4" BSPT). Please Note: All fittings used for through hull applications
