HIP ORGNL® De slapende zigeuner Rond Format:Ø 48" What makes this bird soThis wall circle can rightly be called special. The famous and international old master ' The sleeping gypsy ' was painted in 1897 by Henri Rousseau and is also known as ' The sleeping gypsy' or in French ' La Bohmienne endormie '. The scene shows a wandering woman, a mandolin player, sleeping under a clear starry sky. The lion sniffs her, in beautiful moonlight, but does not attack. This makes the work dreamy. Very poetic, according to Rousseau.
