Morocco, Spanish Protectorate. An Order Of Mehdauia, Grand Officer's Star, C.1945 Archive inscribed "Tramway DestroyedOrden de la Mehdauia, Wissam al Mahdawiya. Instituted in 1926. Insignia in silver gilt with light blue, dark blue, light green, dark green and yellow enamels, mounted to a six pointed silver gilt base, measuring 66. 5 mm (w) x 75. 3 mm (h), vertical pinback flanked by dual stays, intact enamels, extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of Mehdauia (Order of Guidance) was instituted on August 18, 1926 and became obsolete in 1956.
