A model of the USS Niagara (the flagship of Oliver Hazard Perry at the 1813 Battle of Lake Erie) hand carved by a Kriegsmarine serviceman in Canadian captivity, of multi piece wood and cloth construction, featuring hand carved pieces recreating a stylized version of the vessel with sails, masts, and rigging visible, accompanied by a fitted wooden base, the obverse featuring a plaque bearing an inscription of NIAGARA FLAGSHIP OF
